Reactive Pest Control
Your friendly neighbourhood pest control expert is ready to keep your property safe from unwanted creatures, no matter what type of property you have. Reactive pest control responds to pest issues as and when they occur. It may be your first time experiencing a pest problem, or a regular pest that keeps coming back, either way, lets use my knowledge and experience to get the issue resolved. Where practically possible, emphasis is placed on prevention, over pesticides.

Pest control services are carried out on behalf of business owners, property management companies, estate agents, landlords and so much more. Property Surveys
My services are based around enhancing your property with a focus on preventative pest management, not necessarily having to rely on pesticides. Assessments are carried out to determine the pest type, the extent of the infestation, and pinpoint where the activity is occurring, using my expertise for a thorough evaluation. In cases of suspected drain issues, I also offer CCTV drain surveys to identify any faults beneath your property.
Property Improvements
If there are vulnerabilities at your property, I can implement practical improvements that will offer long term protection from pests. With the tools and equipment at my disposal, I can perform a variety of enhancements to prevent pest ingress, minimising the need to consult another trader unless absolutely necessary.
Treatments
When pest issues arise, swift and effective treatment is essential. I offer a variety of methods and products tailored to tackle any problem effectively from the first visit. This can include the use of traps, rodenticide or insecticides.
Bird Prevention
Prevention and proofing methods can be installed in most places where birds can cause a nuisance. The most common request is for bird prevention to stop pigeons getting under the solar panels.

Over the course of my working career, I've been fortunate enough to work in varied positions in different sectors. At the early stages of my career, I started out in landscaping and DIY as part of a small business. I then moved into project management / business systems / compliance / H&S, within the housing sector.
In 2016, I then moved into a small reputable pest control business in Chichester, where I started my training and gained a wealth of knowledge and inspiration, to become a competent and qualified professional. I was able to experience first hand all the different types of pests and how to most effectively deal with them.
In 2020, I launched Vertaproof to create my own stamp on what I think pest control should be. I am passionate about the service I deliver to my clients and my reputation continues to grow as a competent and dedicated professional. I built my business on integrity, transparency and trust. Delivering a service in a way that is respectful and empathetic to client needs.

I have used Vertaproof both privately at my residential address and commercially through my business on numerous occasions. In my 25 years working in the housing sector in Guildford, Oxford, London and for the last 11 years in Hampshire I have never dealt with a more professional or knowledgeable pest control contractor and can not recommend Jonathan enough, nor would I use another contractor personally or for my clients.

Excellent service by Jonathan and Richard . Very professional and thoughtful and kept us fully informed throughout a very complicated and difficult retrieval and removal of a large feral bee colony that had grown out of control. Bees safely evacuated to Sussex. Highly recommend and will use again for future pests .
We had pigeons nesting under our solar panels. Jonathan was fantastic at giving us the different options for netting/spikes with photos and prices from the outset. He also re-set the mortar on our chimney and installed spikes and a cowl. Very polite and easy to talk to. Extremely tidy and even disinfected our patio and furniture when the job was finished. 100% recommend.
